Who Can Host a
CATAN Event?
You don’t need to be a tournament expert, own a game café, or run a fancy venue to host a SaskCatan event. What matters most? That you care about connection, consistency, and community.
We’re looking for:
- Game cafés, restaurants, or pubs with table space
- Community halls or libraries with public event capacity
- Passionate individuals in smaller towns who want to bring people together
Casual Nights or Competitive Play — You Decide
Casual & Social
Host a Relaxed Game Night
Open tables, zero pressure, just great games with great people. Perfect for beginners, regulars, and anyone who wants to play Catan in a chill setting.
Local & Competitive
Run a Local Mini Tournament
Organize a small 3-round event where players compete for fun (and bragging rights). Great for venues looking to level up their Catan nights.
Official & Ranked
Host a National Qualifier
Partner with SaskCatan to host an official qualifier with eligibility for the Canadian Nationals. We’ll support you every step of the way.

Shark Club Saskatoon
April 12, 2025
First-ever SaskCatan host! Shark Club kicked things off with a casual game night that brought in 16–24 players and helped launch the community.
Gather Local Market
May 10, 2025
First tournament venue! When our debut qualifier outgrew its original space, Gather welcomed 30+ players and gave SaskCatan’s competitive scene a proper home.
HomeQuarter Coffeehouse
To Be Determined
Our first planned tournament host! Though we outgrew the space, we’re grateful to HomeQuarter — and we’re chatting about future casual and learn-to-play events.
