From Local Meetups to National Qualifiers

The article beautifully captures the incredible journey of SaskCatan over the past year. What started as a quiet idea after founder Tyrel Wilgosh attended a modest, 14-person tournament in early 2025 has quickly evolved into a thriving provincial movement. As Tyrel mentioned in the interview, the demand from Saskatchewan players has been amazing, and the friendships forged over the board make every roll of the dice worth it.

Our community has grown from those early days into the premier destination for competitive board games. The feature highlights our ongoing mission: sending four elite Saskatchewan “settlers” to the Canadian National Championship this coming August, where the winner will earn a berth in the 2027 CATAN World Championship!
