A Growing Prairie Community
The CTV broadcast highlighted our recent Saskatoon Catan Tournament, held over the weekend at the beautiful Gather Local Market. As mentioned in the segment, the word is officially out! We aren’t just drawing a local crowd anymore—our competitive board game events are becoming a destination.
During the tournament, we were absolutely thrilled to welcome players from all over the map, including:
- Regina and surrounding Saskatchewan communities
- Edmonton, Alberta
- Winnipeg, Manitoba
Seeing players travel across provincial lines to trade sheep for wheat in Saskatoon proves just how vibrant and dedicated the tabletop community truly is.
Congratulations to Emmanuel Vela!
The segment also gave a well-deserved shout-out to our newest champion, Emmanuel Vela! Emmanuel battled his way to the top of a highly competitive field to claim victory at the Gather Local Market. With this win, he has officially secured his opportunity to represent Saskatchewan on the national stage at the Canadian National event!
(And to the CTV morning anchors—we heard that Jeremy has “dabbled” in Catan! You have an open invitation to join us at our next casual board game night. We’ll teach you the ropes!)
